Description

This portable colorimeter, the PCE-CSM 2, features a 45°/0° illumination and viewing geometry. This optical configuration is often used in applications where measurements need to correlate with visual assessment under directional lighting conditions, such as in the evaluation of surface finishes. It provides measurements in CIEL*a*b*C*h*, CIEL*a*b*, and CIEXYZ color spaces. The instrument is suited for research, development, and industrial quality control, with a noted design focus for applications in the food industry. It incorporates an 8 mm measurement aperture and includes functions for automatic white and black calibration. Data storage supports 100 reference standards and 20,000 sample readings.
