Description

Equipped with a 6-inch stem, this industrial thermometer from Cole-Parmer is intended for applications requiring a longer immersion probe. Its operation is based on the bimetal principle, where a coiled strip of two dissimilar metals mechanically drives a pointer on a 3-inch dial in response to temperature changes. The case is filled with silicone fluid, which lubricates the movement and provides resistance to vibration, contributing to reliable indicator stability. The connection is positioned at the back of the dial housing. The device measures across a dual scale, from 0 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and concurrently from -20 to 120 degrees Celsius. The extended stem length facilitates accurate temperature sensing in deeper vessels or when the probe must traverse insulation or a pipe wall to reach the medium being monitored.
