Agilent Technologies' Cobalt Insight200M is a liquid explosive detection system (LEDS) certified for security screening, particularly in airport environments. It is designed to non-invasively analyze the contents of containers holding liquids, aerosols, and gels, including those made of metal, with a typical analysis time under five seconds. The system employs a Class 1 interlocked laser source. It is specified to identify specific threat materials by name and operates with a reported false alarm rate below 2% for all container types, with lower rates for non-metallic containers and water samples. The unit holds ECAC certification to Type B and Type A standards (with an optional kit) and is approved for screening containers under 100 mL capacity. It can be deployed as a standalone checkpoint screener or integrated into baggage handling systems for alarm resolution. Optional centralized management software enables remote system monitoring, data reporting, and compliance tracking.
