CloneSelect Imager (CSI and CSI FL)

Description

The CloneSelect Imager, offered as standard (CSI) and fluorescence (CSI FL) models by Molecular Devices, is a dedicated system for imaging and analyzing mammalian cells in microplates. It supports plate formats ranging from 6 to 384 wells. Applications include cell line development, colony forming assays, and viability assessments in drug discovery. The CSI model performs label-free, white-light imaging to monitor cell growth and confluence over time. The CSI FL model adds multichannel fluorescence detection, which can be used for tasks such as confirming monoclonality from a single cell. By automating image capture and analysis, the instrument aims to provide consistent, quantitative data for key steps in bioprocess and research workflows.
