Description
The CliniMACS Prodigy is an automated, closed-system platform designed for the integrated manufacturing of cell-based therapeutics. It consolidates multiple process steps into a single instrument, including cell washing, density gradient centrifugation, cell activation, fluorescent labeling, magnetic separation for cell enrichment or depletion, viral transduction, and cell expansion. Operational parameters include a temperature range from +4 °C to +38 °C, a pump speed adjustable from 2 to 400 mL/min, and a centrifuge capable of reaching 400×g. By automating these complex and sensitive procedures, the system aims to enhance process standardization and reproducibility while reducing manual intervention. The closed-system architecture is engineered to support sterility and operator safety, potentially aligning with GMP requirements for clinical production.
