ChemiSorb Auto

Manufacturer: Malvern Panalytical

Description

Malvern Panalytical's ChemiSorb Auto is a benchtop, fully automated analyzer for characterizing heterogeneous catalysts through chemisorption measurements. It supports research in numerous catalytic processes, including hydrocracking (HDS, HDN), water-gas shift reactions, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, reforming, isomerization, partial oxidation, hydrogenation, and catalytic cracking. The system's furnace operates from ambient conditions up to 1000 °C, with programmable, temperature-dependent heating rates: up to 100 °C/min (100-400 °C), 50 °C/min (400-600 °C), 25 °C/min (600-800 °C), 10 °C/min (800-900 °C), and 5 °C/min (900-1000 °C). It is equipped with four gas inlets for gases such as H2, O2, He, Ar, and H2/Ar mixtures. Key features include a patented blending valve for gas mixing, loop pressure measurement for dose accuracy, and a high-sensitivity thermal conductivity detector (TCD). A forced-air cooling system reduces the furnace temperature from 500 °C to 50 °C in about 30 minutes. An optional cryocooler accessory can lower the operational range to -100 °C.
