Description

The ChemiDoc MP Imaging System is a multi-purpose imaging platform from Bio-Rad designed for advanced gel and blot analysis. It supports a comprehensive range of applications, from basic gel documentation to multiplex fluorescence and chemiluminescence detection. Image acquisition is performed by a 6-megapixel cooled CCD camera, which provides high-resolution capture while minimizing noise for sensitive detection. A key feature is its extensive integrated illumination system, which includes trans-UV, trans-blue, epi-white, epi-RGB, and epi-far-red light sources. This broad spectral coverage allows for the detection of a wide variety of fluorescent dyes and stains. With a standard field of view of 21 x 16.8 cm, the system is suited for detailed analysis of proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules in diverse research and quality control workflows.
