The CENTRY 117 microcentrifuge from Gilson offers a speed range from 1,000 to 13,500 rpm, which corresponds to a relative centrifugal force (RCF) range of 100 to 16,800 x g. Operation is managed through a full-color touchscreen interface that displays set parameters, including speed (in rpm or RCF), set time, and remaining run time. Users can program and store up to nine custom protocols for convenient one-touch recall. The timer can be set for runs lasting from 1 to 99 minutes. An internal airflow system is designed to maintain consistent temperature within the chamber during extended runs, aiding in sample preservation.
