Description

The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5910 R is a refrigerated benchtop model capable of processing large-volume samples. It offers precise temperature control within a range of -11 °C to 40 °C. The unit reaches a maximum speed of 14,000 rpm, adjustable in 10 rpm increments, which corresponds to a maximum relative centrifugal force of 22,132 × g. A key feature is its high-capacity swing-bucket rotor, which can hold four 750 mL bottles. This same rotor can also accommodate microplates, such as 5-position MTPs, without the need for bucket changes. The refrigeration system includes FastTemp for rapid pre-cooling and programmable pre-cooling schedules. After a run, continuous cooling helps maintain sample temperature. The centrifuge incorporates energy-saving features like an automatic ECO shut-off and uses dynamic compressor control for temperature management. Fixed-angle rotors are available for applications requiring higher speeds with smaller tubes.
