Description

Eppendorf's Centrifuge 5425 is a compact benchtop microcentrifuge intended for routine high-speed separations. It achieves a maximum speed of 15,060 rpm, generating a relative centrifugal force (RCF) of up to 21,330 × g. The standard rotor accommodates ten tubes with a 5.0 mL capacity. This is a non-refrigerated model. Operational features include QuickLock technology for securing the rotor lid and an OptiBowl design to minimize noise during operation, typically keeping sound levels below 51 dB. The centrifuge offers programmable acceleration and braking rates and features automatic lid opening at the end of a run. It is compatible with a range of rotors to handle various tube formats commonly used in molecular biology and biochemical applications.
