Description

The CELLROLL from PFEIFFER is a bottle roller system for cell culture applications using roller bottles. It provides precise control over rotational speed to support consistent cell growth conditions. The standard drive unit offers a speed range from 0.1 to 2 revolutions per minute, adjustable in 0.1 rpm increments. An alternative drive is available for applications requiring faster rotation, operating from 2 to 6 rpm in 0.5 rpm steps. The system uses a stepper motor to ensure smooth acceleration and deceleration, minimizing mechanical stress on cultures. Rollers are mounted on high-grade ball bearings for quiet, vibration-free operation. With dimensions of 295 x 360 x 400 mm for a two-deck unit, the base system has a capacity for 4 to 16 roller bottles. Its modular design allows for straightforward expansion; by integrating a second drive unit with a single controller, the total capacity can be increased to 32 bottles, facilitating scalable laboratory workflows.
