CellInsight CX5 High-Content Screening (HCS) Platform

Description

The CellInsight CX5 from Thermo Fisher Scientific is a benchtop high-content screening platform for automated, quantitative cell imaging. It provides five multiplexable fluorescence channels along with white-light illumination for colorimetric assays. The system is compatible with various labware formats, ranging from 6-well plates to 1536-well microplates, as well as slides and dishes. It incorporates automated focusing and plate-handling intelligence to facilitate accurate and rapid image acquisition. Accompanying software, HCS Studio Cell Analysis Software, offers pre-validated and user-configurable analysis protocols without the need for scripting. The platform enables multiparametric measurements of cell morphology and fluorescence intensity for analyzing cell populations and subpopulations. For increased throughput, it can be integrated with robotic plate handlers. The instrument measures 41.4 cm in width, 59.4 cm in depth, and 37.2 cm in height, weighing 45 kg.
