Description
DeNovix CellDrop Automated Cell Counters are benchtop instruments for rapid cell concentration and viability analysis. A distinguishing feature is the DirectPipette technology, which allows users to pipette samples directly onto the instrument's viewing surface, typically eliminating the need for disposable slides. Available models include brightfield-only versions and those with combined brightfield and dual-fluorescence capabilities. The adjustable sample chamber accommodates volumes from 5 µL to 40 µL and can measure particles from 2 µm to 400 µm in size, depending on the specific model. Analysis is fast, with brightfield counts taking about 3 seconds and dual-fluorescence counts approximately 8.5 seconds at a standard concentration. Operation is managed through a 7-inch HD touchscreen, and data can be exported via USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet. The system is applicable for counting tissue culture cells, primary cells, isolated nuclei, and hepatocytes.
