CellASIC® ONIX2 Microfluidic System
Manufacturer: Merck KGaA
SKU: CAX2-S0000
Description
The CellASIC ONIX2 Microfluidic System is an automated instrument from Merck KGaA for live cell culture experiments requiring precise environmental control. It allows researchers to program dynamic changes to media, temperature, and gas composition over time, enabling the study of cellular responses to stimuli such as drugs, chemogradient changes, or hypoxic conditions. The system is designed for use with inverted microscopes and utilizes optically clear microfluidic plates with a glass bottom for high-resolution imaging. These plates support multiple independent experiments in parallel and provide continuous nutrient supply and waste removal to maintain cell health for long-term studies. With dimensions of 330 mm wide by 306 mm deep by 108 mm high, the platform is suited for applications including single-cell analysis of yeast and bacteria, biofilm dynamics, host-pathogen interactions, chemotaxis assays, and microscopy of 3D cell cultures.
