CelCulture® CO2 Incubator (CCL)

Description

Esco Technologies' CelCulture CO2 Incubator (CCL) is a controlled environment unit designed for cell and tissue culture applications. It is available in three chamber sizes: CCL-50, CCL-170, and CCL-240, with corresponding exterior dimensions. Temperature control is offered in two configurations: a standard model that operates from 7°C above ambient temperature up to 60°C, and a Peltier-cooled model capable of reaching 7°C below ambient up to 60°C. The incubator uses a direct heating system and an insulating air jacket for rapid temperature recovery. A forced convection system (VentiFlow) ensures uniform conditions throughout the chamber. CO2 concentration is regulated from 0 to 20% using a stable infrared (IR) sensor, adjustable in 0.1% increments; this sensor type is not influenced by humidity or pressure changes. Contamination control is a key focus, featuring a validated 90°C moist heat decontamination cycle, an internal ULPA filter to maintain an ISO Class 5 air environment, and an antimicrobial coating on interior surfaces. The seamless stainless steel chamber with rounded corners allows for easy cleaning, and many internal components are removable to facilitate thorough decontamination. Operation is managed via a control panel with a large display and an LCD menu interface.
