Cary 6000i UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer

Manufacturer: Agilent Technologies

SKU: 10079400

Description

The Cary 6000i from Agilent Technologies is a high-performance spectrophotometer for demanding UV-Vis-NIR analysis. It offers an exceptionally wide spectral range from 175 to 1800 nm, covering ultraviolet, visible, and short-wave near-infrared regions. Its optical configuration is based on a double out-of-plane Littrow monochromator, which contributes to low stray light levels. For enhanced sensitivity in the NIR region, the system incorporates a narrow-band indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) detector. The instrument provides high photometric accuracy and can measure absorbance values exceeding 8.0 AU through reference beam attenuation. Users have control over spectral resolution with adjustable slit widths, which can be set as low as 0.01 nm in the UV-Vis range. The spacious sample compartment can be purged with nitrogen and is designed to accept various accessories, such as integrating spheres for diffuse reflectance studies. Dedicated software provides comprehensive tools for method development, data processing, and report generation.
