Cary 4000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

Manufacturer: Agilent Technologies

SKU: 10079200

Description

Agilent Technologies' Cary 4000 is a double-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometer designed for high-performance analytical applications. It functions across a spectral range of 175 to 900 nm. The optical system incorporates a double out-of-plane Littrow monochromator to minimize stray light and features reference beam attenuation, allowing for absorbance measurements exceeding 8.0 AU. Slit widths are variable down to 0.01 nm for precise resolution control. The instrument includes a spacious sample compartment with a LockDown mechanism for secure and rapid accessory interchange. It can be configured with various accessories for temperature-controlled studies, multicell analysis, and reflectance measurements. Operation is managed through the modular Cary WinUV software. Separate nitrogen purging capabilities for the sample and monochromator compartments are provided to reduce atmospheric interference, particularly in the lower UV range.
