Capillary Pistons

Description

Capillary Pistons are positive displacement tips designed for use with Gilson MICROMAN pipettes. They function like a syringe, with a piston that moves inside the tip to directly displace liquid, making them suitable for pipetting challenging samples. These include viscous, volatile, dense, or temperature-sensitive liquids, as well as hazardous materials like radioactive solutions. The design prevents the sample from contacting the pipette shaft, protecting both the instrument and the user from contamination. The tips are made from pure, dye-free polypropylene and have a slender profile for accessing narrow or deep tubes. They are available in six different volume ranges covering 1 µL to 1000 µL. Packaging is in color-coded TIPACK racks to support organization and compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
