The Cap2 0.2ml tube is a polypropylene PCR tube designed to function both as a sample collection vessel and a reaction tube for genetic analysis. Its defining feature is a dual-cap design, where an inner cap is housed within a larger hinged lid. Each tube is identified by a 2D datamatrix code and a human-readable number located on a tab attached to the cap. The tubes are manufactured to be free of DNase, RNase, and human genomic DNA, and are leak-tested. With ultra-thin walls and low DNA binding properties, they are optimized for PCR performance. The tubes are automation-friendly, compatible with 48-format SBS footprint racks, and are suitable for workflows such as genetic testing and pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT). They are available in white, with clear wells, and are sold in quantities of 500 tubes or 10 racks.
