Verder Scientific's CAMSIZER 3D is a particle analyzer that uses dynamic image analysis, compliant with ISO 13322-2, to measure dry, free-flowing materials. Its primary innovation is the generation of three-dimensional particle data. Particles fall through an extended measurement zone, where they are imaged multiple times in different orientations—up to 30 captures per particle—to construct detailed 3D tracks. This provides a more complete morphological assessment than conventional 2D image analysis. The system employs a dual-camera setup: a 9-megapixel ZOOM camera for fine detail and a 5-megapixel BASIC camera. Together, they enable a recommended measurement span from 20 µm to 30 mm without hardware changes. Applications include analysis of chemicals, battery materials, and ceramics for both quality control and research.
