CAF G5 Ash Fusibility Testing Tube Furnace
Manufacturer: Verder Scientific
SKU: CAF G5
Description
Designed for the analysis of ash behavior, the CAF G5 tube furnace is a specialized instrument for determining the fusibility of ash derived from coal, coke, and similar materials. It achieves a maximum operating temperature of 1600°C, which is necessary to observe the progressive softening and deformation of ash samples under controlled conditions. A key aspect of its design is the ability to create specific atmospheric environments required by standardized test methods. These include oxidizing conditions using air, as well as reducing atmospheres generated with hydrogen or carbon monoxide. An optional gas mixing module is available for creating precise CO/CO2 environments. The furnace is constructed to comply with international standards such as ISO 540:2008, ASTM D1857, and DIN 51730. Its application scope also extends to testing protocols for biomass and solid recovered fuels, as referenced in DD CEN/TS 15370-1 and PD CEN/TR 15404.
