C.WASH™ Microplate Washer

Manufacturer: CYTENA

SKU: CY.CW.MAS.200

Description

The C.WASH microplate washer utilizes a centrifugal, tipless method for liquid removal from assay plates. Compatible with standard 96- and 384-well plate formats, it operates by spinning plates to eject waste via centrifugal force, eliminating the need for conventional aspiration needles. This non-contact approach is suitable for washing adherent cells, performing ELISA steps, and processing bead-based assays such as Luminex. The system includes separate dispensing heads for adding wash buffers or reagents: an 8-needle head for volumes above 10 µL and a 16-needle head for volumes above 5 µL. The rotor speed is adjustable from 5 to 3500 rpm, generating a relative centrifugal force of approximately 400g. Benefits of this design include reduced consumable use, lower plastic waste, and consistent, low residual volumes, making it applicable for automated cell-based and immunoassay workflows.
