Description

The BRAND Macro Pipette Controller is a manual aspiration instrument intended for use with pipettes handling volumes up to 50 mL. It provides an alternative to conventional rubber bulbs, aiming to deliver enhanced control and user comfort for standard pipetting procedures. Operation is managed through a single hand: a suction bellows is compressed to draw liquid, and a lever is manipulated for precise meniscus adjustment. An integrated blow-out bulb facilitates complete emptying of 'to contain' pipettes. The device accommodates a broad selection of serological, volumetric, and graduated pipettes ranging from 0.1 mL to 100 mL. Constructed to be lightweight with an ergonomic grip, it seeks to minimize operator fatigue during repetitive tasks. To protect samples, a built-in hydrophobic membrane filter helps prevent over-aspiration and reduces the risk of aerosol contamination. The entire unit is autoclavable at 121°C (250°F), supporting applications that require sterile conditions.
