BRAND® Liquid Handling Station Pipetting Robot

Description

The BRAND Liquid Handling Station is a compact benchtop automation system designed for laboratories performing repetitive liquid transfer tasks. It occupies a middle ground between manual pipetting and large-scale robotic workstations, offering programmable automation for medium-throughput needs. Users can select a single-channel or an 8-channel pipetting arm. The single-channel version operates across three volume ranges: 1-50 µL, 10-200 µL, and 40-1000 µL. The 8-channel arm also covers three ranges: 1-50 µL, 20-300 µL, and 40-1000 µL. This flexibility supports numerous applications, such as preparing PCR reactions, setting up ELISA assays, performing serial dilutions, normalizing DNA concentrations, cherry-picking samples, reformatting microplates, and preparing next-generation sequencing libraries. The system provides eight designated work positions on its deck, with seven being fully configurable to hold various labware, including microplates, tube racks, and reservoirs. Its dimensions are 595 mm in width, 485 mm in depth, and 530 mm in height. An optional laminar flow enclosure, the LHS Flow, is available to maintain a particle-controlled workspace. The accompanying software features a menu-driven interface that enables the creation of custom liquid handling protocols without requiring programming expertise.
