BlotCycler® Mini Automated Western Blot Processor

Manufacturer: Precision Biosystems

SKU: BlotCycler Mini

Description

The BlotCycler Mini is an automated system for processing western blots, engineered to perform incubation and washing steps with minimal manual intervention. It standardizes these procedures to decrease variability and reduce hands-on time. The instrument processes one to eight immunoblots concurrently using dedicated trays, eliminating the need for traditional cassettes. Trays are available in multiple sizes (delta, mini, midi, and mega) to accommodate different membrane formats. Users supply standard buffers and antibodies, which the system dispenses accurately according to a programmed protocol. A notable feature is its ability to recover unused primary antibody for potential reuse. Protocols are created and managed via a touchscreen interface, allowing precise control over parameters such as blocking time, wash cycles, and extended incubation periods of up to 144 hours. Each protocol can contain up to 100 individual steps, and the device can store 40 complete methods. The system provides consistent agitation and thorough drainage. An automated cleaning cycle runs at the end of each protocol. Designed to fit into existing laboratory workflows, it uses conventional reagents to enhance reproducibility and throughput in protein detection assays.
