Description

The BioTek Cytation C10 is a multimodal instrument that combines automated confocal microscopy, widefield imaging, and microplate reading capabilities. Its optical system includes a spinning-disk confocal module with selectable pinhole sizes for optical sectioning, making it suitable for imaging thicker samples like 3D cell cultures and tissue sections. The system employs water-immersion objectives to improve light collection efficiency, which can be beneficial for live-cell imaging by potentially reducing light exposure and phototoxicity.
