Description

The Biotage V-10 Touch is a solvent evaporation system designed for the rapid concentration of liquid samples following chromatographic separation or other laboratory processes. It is particularly effective for removing high-boiling-point or difficult solvents, such as water, dimethylformamide (DMF), and peptide cleavage mixtures, with evaporation rates up to 1 milliliter per minute at moderate temperatures. The system uses software-controlled vacuum regulation to manage the evaporation process and includes a condenser to capture volatile solvents. Its integrated vacuum pump is constructed from chemically resistant materials to withstand exposure to a broad spectrum of solvents. Primary uses include concentrating fractions from high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and removing solvents from reaction mixtures, providing a faster alternative to techniques like lyophilization for many applications.
