Biotage® Selekt

Description

The Biotage Selekt is an automated flash chromatography system intended for the preparative purification of chemical substances. It is used for isolating small molecules, peptides, lipids, and polymers. The system's software allows for flexible fraction collection triggered by various detection modes, including a single UV wavelength, full UV or UV-Vis spectral data, or evaporative light scattering detection (ELSD), which can be used individually or in combination. A key hardware feature is the inclusion of two independent purification channels, enabling automated switching between normal-phase and reversed-phase separation chemistries without manual intervention. The platform offers scalability from milligram-scale research to process-scale purification of hundreds of grams, supporting columns packed with up to 1.85 kilograms of stationary phase. Operation and data management can be conducted remotely via external devices, allowing users to initiate runs, monitor status, and review results from a separate location.
