Biotage® PRESSURE+ 48- & 9-Well Positive Pressure Manifold

Biotage's PRESSURE+ system is a positive pressure manifold for conducting parallel solid-phase extraction (SPE) and other liquid handling procedures. It is offered in two primary configurations: a 48-well format (PPM-48) and a 96-well format (PPM-96). The instrument is compatible with standard 96-well plates as well as individual SPE columns in 1 mL, 3 mL, and 6 mL sizes. By applying regulated positive air pressure, it aims to deliver consistent flow rates across all wells, even for liquids of varying viscosity, which can enhance reproducibility and extraction yield in techniques like SPE, protein precipitation, and supported liquid extraction. Its applications cover pharmaceutical bioanalysis, forensic testing, clinical diagnostics, and food and environmental analysis, including methods for PFAS, pesticides, PCBs, and PAHs. The manifold features a universal design to accept different consumable types, includes built-in safety features, and is noted for simple setup requiring only connection to an external gas supply, thereby supporting higher sample throughput.
