Description

The Biotage Initiator+ Alstra is an automated platform dedicated to solid phase synthesis, specializing in the production of peptides and related compounds. It supports the synthesis of peptides, peptoids, peptide nucleic acids (PNA), peptidomimetics, and small molecules. The user interface provides guided, step-by-step programming, allowing chemistry to be customized for each amino acid while remaining accessible to users with different skill levels. A robotic liquid handler ensures precise reagent delivery to the resin, accommodating solutions of varying viscosity. A patented oscillating mixing mechanism promotes even resin distribution within the reaction solution, which is effective across a broad range of synthesis scales.
