Description

This Class II, Type A2 biological safety cabinet is constructed to provide protection for the operator, the laboratory environment, and the material being handled within the work zone. It operates using a HEPA-filtered airflow system where roughly 70% of the air is recirculated inside the cabinet and 30% is exhausted. The inward airflow velocity at the work access opening is maintained at 0.5 meters per second (equivalent to 100 feet per minute). The cabinet exterior is available in either epoxy-coated metal or polypropylene, while interior surfaces are made of stainless steel (grade SS304). It is certified to meet the EN 12469 standard. An optional integrated particle monitoring system (IPMS) can be included for continuous air quality verification, ensuring the work zone maintains ISO Class 5 (Class 100) cleanliness. The cabinet is offered in multiple standard widths, commonly corresponding to 3, 4, 5, and 6-foot models.
