BIOne 1250 Bioprocess Control Station

Manufacturer: Distek, Inc.

SKU: BIOne 1250

Description

Distek's BIOne 1250 Bioprocess Control Station is a configurable platform for controlling stirred-tank bioreactor processes. It is designed to provide precise regulation of critical cultivation parameters, including agitation, temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO), supporting both microbial fermentation and mammalian cell culture applications. The system is available in single or dual-vessel configurations. Its architecture allows integration with a range of vessel types, including single-use bags and traditional autoclavable glass or stainless-steel bioreactors, facilitating batch, fed-batch, and perfusion processes. The controller features an ergonomic touchscreen interface with preloaded, subscription-free software for local recipe management, real-time data trending, and process automation. For expanded functionality, optional OPC connectivity enables remote monitoring and control via web browsers or custom scripting. The BIOne 1250 is compatible with various working volumes, typically from 2 liters to 10 liters, and supports Distek's own vessel systems as well as many third-party bioreactors through available conversion kits. The platform provides open access to control loops and configurable PID settings, allowing for detailed process tailoring. Furthermore, the system and its associated vessels are characterized with standard engineering metrics—such as volumetric mass transfer coefficient (kLa), mixing time, and power input per volume—to support process development and scale-up studies.
