The Biocontainment Class III Closed Loop Containment Isolator from Plas-Labs is a fully enclosed, negative-pressure glovebox system for handling highly hazardous biological agents. It maintains an automated negative working pressure of -0.50 inches H2O. The internal atmosphere is continuously recirculated and filtered through two HEPA filters with a rated efficiency of 99.9997%. The unit's exterior dimensions are 82 inches wide by 47 inches deep by 53 inches high, providing an interior workspace measuring 56 by 35 by 27 inches, which equates to a volume of approximately 1157 liters. Standard features include four glove ports with ambidextrous Hypalon gloves, clear acrylic construction for visibility, an integrated fluorescent light, and a manual house exhaust valve for rapid venting. The isolator is mounted on a stainless steel cart with support tracks for gas cylinders. Multiple units can be coupled together to form larger, multi-station containment workspaces.
