Description

Bio-Spin P-6 Gel Columns are disposable, prepacked spin columns from Bio-Rad. Each column contains Bio-Gel P-6 gel that has been pre-equilibrated with SSC (Saline-Sodium Citrate) buffer. They are designed for the rapid cleanup of DNA, RNA, and protein samples, typically through a brief centrifugation step of approximately four minutes. The size exclusion principle allows for the removal of small contaminants like salts, unincorporated nucleotides, or dyes from larger nucleic acids or proteins. The use of SSC buffer makes these columns particularly applicable for nucleic acid workflows, such as purifying labeling reactions.
