Bio-Spin® Chromatography Columns

Bio-Rad's Bio-Spin Chromatography Columns are disposable, empty spin columns made from polypropylene. Supplied in packs of 100, each column has a bed volume of 1.2 ml. The polypropylene construction permits autoclaving for sterilization purposes. These columns are not prepacked; they are provided empty so researchers can fill them with a chosen chromatography medium, such as an ion exchange resin, affinity gel, or desalting matrix. They are primarily used for small-scale, rapid sample purification or cleanup via centrifugation, applicable to proteins, nucleic acids, or other biomolecules. The single-use design helps prevent sample cross-contamination and avoids the need for cleaning and reusing columns between experiments.
