Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific's Bigfoot Cell Sorter is a high-speed flow cytometry system engineered for rapid cell sorting. It is available in multiple configurations, supporting from 4 to 9 lasers, and can be equipped for either conventional detection with fluorescence compensation or full spectral analysis utilizing up to 60 detectors. The system is capable of processing over 70,000 events per second, enabling high-throughput applications like populating multi-well plates in seconds. Built-in safety features include biocontainment and aerosol management systems to protect the operator and the sample environment. The associated software is designed to streamline operation with automated setup wizards and workflow guidance. With applications spanning immunology, genomics, and cell line development, the sorter is housed in a cabinet measuring 99 cm in width and depth and 170 cm in height, with a weight of approximately 400 kilograms. It operates on standard international power (100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz).
