The BD Rhapsody Express system provides a streamlined, cartridge-based workflow for targeted single-cell multiomics analysis. It is designed to profile hundreds to tens of thousands of individual cells from a sample. The core technology involves capturing single cells in microwells alongside magnetic beads that carry unique molecular barcodes. This setup enables targeted analysis of specific genes or proteins through applications like targeted mRNA expression, whole transcriptome analysis, and immune repertoire profiling. Much of the sample preparation, staining, and capture process is integrated into a single disposable cartridge, which helps minimize hands-on time and technical variability. The platform is engineered for efficiency, with a workflow that can complete library preparation within a single day. It is suited for research applications in immunology and oncology where focused, in-depth sequencing of predefined gene sets is required to investigate cellular heterogeneity.
