Description
This integrated system from TA Instruments combines a TAM IV isothermal microcalorimeter with a BioLogic VSP-300 potentiostat to enable concurrent thermal and electrochemical analysis of battery cells during cycling. It can handle up to twelve battery samples simultaneously, accommodating various formats such as coin cells, cylindrical cells (e.g., 18650), and pouch cells up to 50 mm by 94 mm. The system operates within a temperature range of 4 to 150 °C. The integrated potentiostat provides electrical control with a voltage range of +/- 10V and offers high-resolution current measurement down to 760 femtoamperes (fA). Data from both thermal and electrical sensors are collected and correlated through a unified software platform, which is designed to facilitate experimental setup and provide real-time visualization for researchers in battery development and materials science.
