Basic Glove Box Systems

Plas-Labs offers these glove box systems as a foundational method for isolating materials or processes from the ambient laboratory atmosphere. The units are constructed with a molded bottom and a one-piece acrylic top for visibility. Two standard sizes are available, providing interior working volumes of roughly 489 liters (3.5-foot model) or 1157 liters (5-foot model), with exterior dimensions varying by model. Each system is fitted with either two or four glove ports, which include chemically resistant Hypalon gloves held by stainless steel rings. A cylindrical transfer chamber, 12 inches long with an 11-inch inner diameter, allows for sample transfer and is equipped with a vacuum gauge. The design incorporates four purge valves for environmental control, a built-in electrical outlet strip, and coved corners to aid in cleaning. These portable, self-contained units serve as a basic controlled environment for general laboratory use.
