Designed for benchtop installation, the Barnstead GenPure xCAD Plus is an ultrapure water purification system. It generates water meeting Type I purity standards at a maximum rate of 2 liters per minute. The unit occupies a compact space, with external measurements of 372 mm wide, 330 mm deep, and 615 mm high. Its purification technology typically involves a combination of processes such as reverse osmosis, electrodeionization, and ultrafiltration to effectively reduce ionic and organic contaminants. This makes the produced water appropriate for highly sensitive laboratory methods, including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and various molecular biology applications where water quality is paramount.
