Description

The BE1 Balance Enclosure from Airfiltronix is a containment workstation engineered to protect laboratory personnel from exposure to airborne hazards. It is designed to safely isolate procedures involving fine powders, particulates, or vapors, such as weighing, mixing, and transferring materials. The unit features a clear acrylic body supported by an aluminum frame, providing a durable structure with full visibility of the interior workspace. Access is gained through a front-hinged panel constructed from clear polycarbonate. The internal work area measures 28 inches wide by 21 inches deep by 19 inches high, while the overall exterior dimensions are 30 x 22 x 34.5 inches (WxDxH). A ductless fume extraction system with a variable-speed blower is integrated, allowing airflow to be adjusted from 114 to 480 cubic feet per minute based on the installed filters. This system is supplied with a HEPA filter capable of capturing 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. The enclosure includes a rear port for electrical cords and offers optional external lighting to illuminate the work area.
