Description

The Azure 500 Infrared Imaging System is a multi-modal instrument for capturing and analyzing signals from various detection methods. It is equipped with a 9.1-megapixel cooled CCD camera and supports applications including infrared fluorescence, chemiluminescence, UV, and standard fluorescence. The system's optical path is engineered for high sensitivity across this range, making it applicable for western blotting, in-gel fluorescence detection, and multiplexed assays. A significant capability is its near-infrared (NIR) imaging, which operates in the 700-900 nm spectrum to reduce background interference commonly caused by plastics, membranes, and biological molecules, thereby improving signal-to-noise ratios. For fluorescence work, it provides multiple excitation sources using lasers and LEDs. Operational features include automated functions for focusing and filter selection, allowing users to program multi-channel protocols for sequential, hands-free imaging of different labels. The included software manages image acquisition, analysis, and data export.
