Axon Instruments Patch-Clamp Amplifiers

Manufacturer: Molecular Devices, LLC

SKU: Axon Patch-Clamp Amplifiers

Description

Axon Instruments offers a series of patch-clamp amplifiers to accommodate various recording needs, from single-channel studies to large macroscopic currents. The portfolio includes several models, each tailored for specific applications. The Axopatch 200B amplifier is designed for ultra-low-noise single-channel recordings and incorporates an actively cooled headstage to reduce electrical noise. The MultiClamp 700B amplifier is suited for whole-cell voltage-clamp and high-speed current-clamp experiments; it allows software control of settings for streamlined setup and automation and can support up to four headstages (two primary CV-7B and two auxiliary) for multi-channel or network studies. The Axoclamp 900A amplifier is configured for two-electrode voltage-clamp and current-clamp recordings, featuring a large output compliance range for measuring larger currents and faster clamp speeds. It offers five operational modes: current clamp, discontinuous current clamp, two-electrode voltage clamp, discontinuous single-electrode voltage clamp, and high-voltage current clamp. These amplifiers are designed to integrate with most data acquisition systems, though they are optimized for use with pCLAMP software and Digidata hardware. General benefits across the series include capabilities for multi-channel experiments and the measurement of large currents while managing signal-to-noise ratios.
