Description
The Organomation Automatic 20 Position N-EVAP is a nitrogen evaporator designed for high-throughput sample concentration. It accommodates up to 20 samples simultaneously within a heated water bath, utilizing a gentle nitrogen blowdown process to evaporate solvents. A key feature is its automated timing system, which uses a pneumatic mechanism to lift samples out of the bath and halt gas flow once a pre-set concentration cycle is complete. This automation helps protect sensitive samples from potential degradation due to excessive heat exposure. Operators have precise control via a digital interface for setting both bath temperature and gas flow duration. Individual needle valves at each sample position allow for fine adjustment of the nitrogen flow rate, and needles can be raised or lowered independently. The unit has a nitrogen flow rate of 8 liters per minute and overall dimensions of 19 by 18 by 36 inches (WxDxH). It finds application in diverse fields including environmental analysis, PFAS and pesticide testing, water quality assessment, lipidomics, metabolomics, cannabis processing, food and beverage analysis, forensic toxicology, and pharmaceutical research. Optional configurations include a 220-volt power supply and an acid-resistant coating for the instrument and needles.
