Description

Azenta Life Sciences' Automated Roll Heat Sealer is a benchtop instrument for consistently sealing microplates used in applications such as PCR, qPCR, sample storage, and various cell-based assays. A key operational feature is its independence from an external compressed air supply, allowing for flexible placement on standard lab benches or integration into automated systems. The sealer offers adjustable parameters, with a sealing temperature range from 100°C to 195°C and cycle times variable between 0.1 and 10 seconds. It incorporates a rapid heating element for quick start-up and a standby mode for energy conservation. The device includes a color touchscreen interface for creating and storing password-protected sealing protocols. It is compatible with a wide spectrum of plate formats, from tube racks to high-density 1536-well plates, and can utilize various seal materials. For automation, it supports communication via an RS232 port and offers optional SiLA compatibility for simplified integration. The unit dimensions are 230 mm wide by 507 mm long by 276 mm high, and it operates on AC 100-240V input power.
