Description

This automated roll heat sealer from Azenta Life Sciences provides the capability to seal individual wells or tubes within a microplate format. It is engineered to work with the Azenta Individual Access product range, combining the flexibility of selective tube access with automated heat-sealing technology. The unit features a color touchscreen interface for straightforward operation and allows for variable sealing time (0.1 to 10 seconds) and temperature (100°C to 195°C) settings to optimize the seal for specific plate types. It does not require an external compressed air supply, simplifying lab placement. The sealer can accommodate custom seal shapes and is compatible with a wide variety of 96-well plates and tube racks. For integration into automated workflows, it includes an RS232 communication port for remote operation and data logging. The device measures 400 mm wide by 680 mm long by 385 mm high and operates on AC power from 100 to 240V at 50/60 Hz, with a maximum power draw of 700W.
