The Atlas Series Autotouch from Specac is an automatic hydraulic press designed for laboratory sample preparation. It is offered in multiple load capacities, including 8, 15, 25, and 40 ton configurations. This instrument is frequently employed in analytical techniques such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), making it suitable for creating KBr pellets for FTIR or preparing solid samples for XRF analysis. Operation is managed through a color LED touch screen interface with a programmable microprocessor for controlled pressure application. The system guides users with on-screen symbols and prompts and includes an end-of-cycle alarm. Integrated high-clarity PETG safety guards provide operator protection. The press is fully CE marked, conforming to applicable European safety standards.
