Description

Atlantic Solid Phase Extraction Disks from Biotage are a format of SPE media designed as flat disks rather than packed beds. This disk construction is intended to maximize the available surface area for interaction with analytes in a sample solution, which can be beneficial for extracting compounds from large volume samples. The disks are compatible with both manual SPE manifolds and automated extraction systems. A characteristic feature is their ability to accommodate high sample flow rates, enabling the rapid processing of substantial sample volumes, which is often required in environmental analysis. These disks are available in standard diameters of 47 mm and 90 mm. They are applied in the extraction and cleanup of various analyte classes, with highlighted applications including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), extractable petroleum hydrocarbons (EPH), mycotoxins, and acrylamide.
