Description

The ASSIST PLUS Pipetting Robot from INTEGRA Biosciences is a compact benchtop system designed to automate liquid handling tasks using the company's electronic multichannel pipettes. It aims to make automated pipetting accessible without requiring specialized programming skills or dedicated operators. The system automates the physical pipetting motions, which reduces user strain and seeks to eliminate variability introduced by manual technique. It controls parameters such as pipetting angle, tip immersion depth, pipetting speed, and well targeting to enhance reproducibility. The robot is compatible with a range of INTEGRA electronic pipettes, including 4-, 6-, 8-, and 12-channel VOYAGER models and 8-, 12-, and 16-channel VIAFLO models, enabling precise liquid transfers across a volume range of 0.5 µL to 1250 µL. A feature for on-the-fly adjustment of tip spacing allows the system to access various labware formats, from 6-well to 384-well plates. Protocols are created and controlled using the VIALAB software, which provides a graphical user interface for intuitive programming. The system has dimensions of 75 cm wide by 38 cm deep by 51 cm high.
