ASD FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res: High Resolution Spectroradiometer

Manufacturer: Malvern Panalytical

Description

The ASD FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res spectroradiometer from Malvern Panalytical is a field-portable instrument for collecting high-resolution spectral data. It operates across the 350 to 2500 nm spectral range, covering the visible and near-infrared (VNIR) and shortwave infrared (SWIR) regions. Its spectral resolution is specified as 3 nm at 700 nm and 8 nm at 1400 nm and 2100 nm. Detection is handled by a 512-element silicon array for the VNIR (350-1000 nm) and by two-stage thermoelectrically cooled, graded index InGaAs photodiodes for the SWIR1 (1001-1800 nm) and SWIR2 (1801-2500 nm) ranges. This configuration is designed for remote sensing applications where precise measurement of spectral features, such as those related to mineralogy or atmospheric constituents, is required.
